‘The League of Extraordinary Men’ is a TV series (5 programmes x 40 minutes) about some of the most controversial Spanish football clubs’ presidents of the 1990s and 2000s. It touches on a society that pushed them to the top, and their downfall due to corruption.
These former presidents dominated the news with delirious celebrations of their teams’ triumphs, controversial statements and repeated court appearances. They were also regular guests on talk shows, interviews, and parody programmes.
The extensive media coverage of these men, and of football in general, required an exhaustive research and a meticulous archive footage organisation.
